With such amazingly brilliant photography and the most precious pictures ever shot, you would think husband and wife duo Brian and Amanda had been in the business of newborn photography for decades.

In actuality they have built their incredibly successful business over the past year one precise photo shoot at a time.

Before he found himself at home behind the camera, Brian served in the Navy for 10 years often missing the important moments in his niece and nephew's lives. While he wouldn’t trade his days in the Navy, at the end of his tenure he had to decide whether to reenlist or find a new profession.

Around this time Amanda entered the picture, and so their fairy tale began. Not wanting to miss a minute with her he set his service days behind him and began to plan ahead for a future with his wife and baby.

After trying his hand in computers, he settled on photography school and Amanda decided to join him. Together they each worked toward a degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Orange Country where they will graduate in a few weeks.

A year into their studies they found out Amanda was pregnant and the idea to start maternity photo sessions was born, although her little belly barely ever showed enough to actually photograph.

They began doing maternity sessions for friends, and eventually newborns when their new little bundle of joy was born last July. It would seem as their family grows, so does their business.

Brian and Amanda are by all means, that couple. The couple that is absolutely a match made in heaven and yet also a complimentary balance. Brian jumps off the deep end with his wild ideas and giant dreams, while Amanda keeps them grounded with her reason and no nonsense attitude.

She remembers, “Brian started advertising (our services) before we even had cameras, and he just kept saying ‘Don’t worry, we’ll get them.’” And they did.

The cool thing about this couple team is the two different sets of creative eyes they bring to every project. Looking at everything from the artistic composition to the minute details.

Their excitement, love, and passion for life transfers into the breathtaking work they produce. Because they are so closely invested in their work, they have found the incredible opportunity to work with people who really care too.

While she was pregnant Amanda took up knitting newborn hats, and now she offers custom hat props for each sitting. Having mastered her yarn and needle skills, she has created everything from koala bear hats to Laker themed beanies.

Clearly their photography business has become more than just photography.

Working diligently with their clients they create a completely unique experience and photographic outcome for each session. They aim to accommodate any and all needs a client may require, “We want to give the very best customer service,” Amanda assures.

Shooting at their in-home studio allows them to maintain a professional and affordable experience in a personal and relaxed setting. Before each newborn sitting their house is heated to a tropical 85 degrees to ensure baby is comfortable (and warm).

Starting from scratch, and learning their way up, they now have all the technically correct necessities for shooting newborns. They recommend the optimum time to shoot a newbie is between 6 and 7 days old, for the best pictures.

Specializing in maternity and newborns, they now also offer any service a client can dream up including engagements, weddings, families, events, and beyond.

Brian Plus Amanda Photography is the whole package.
