A Child Literacy Fair will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 10am- 1pm at the MSJC San Jacinto Campus, located at 1499 N. State Street, San Jacinto, CA 92583.
The Child Development and Education Department at Mt. San Jacinto College is hosting this year’s Week of the Young Child event, and is proud to include the community in their endeavors. To find out more about this foundation, visit the Week of the Young Child website by clicking here.
This year’s "Read and Picnic at the Fair" event will focus on early literacy and will have many opportunities for children ages 0 – 8 years old to engage in fun activities. Some of these activities include: a petting zoo, face painting station, bouncy house, storytelling, book exchange and giveaways, free raffles, live music, karate, and dance demonstrations.
Community resources will also be made available at this event. Some of these opportunities will include involvement with fire and police crews, as well as prevention services such as vision and dental screenings, and fingerprinting for child safety.
The public is highly encouraged to come to this event with their families. Be sure to bring your lunch and a blanket and enjoy the festivities!
