It would seem May is the month of walking for a cause. Perhaps the outpouring of consistently gorgeous weather has people feeling the need to head outdoors to exercise not only their bodies, but their sense of humanity as well.
Whether you’re walking or running for a cause, a cure, or just for fun the surrounding area is packed with exciting events and pretty places to move those legs and make a difference.
Menifee Half Marathon
Together with the City of Menifee, United Way presents the inaugural Menifee Half Marathon and 5K. As the presenting sponsor, the City of Menifee hopes to make this not only any annual event but also a defining signature offering each year.
In the months leading up to the marathon, Elevate Fitness has acted as the official training center helping runners stretch and run in proper form.

Relay For Life is an event near and dear to many hearts. Starting on Saturday, a full 24 hours of walking, fundraising, and cancer education will commence with an inspirational ceremony.
This cancer fighting walk for a cure is open to the public so come on out to enjoy the festivities and support a wonderful cause.

In celebration of Memorial Day weekend Storm Stadium has a line up of fun planned, ending with a 5K/10K Run/Walk on Monday. Each registration includes a ticket to Monday night's Storm baseball game and an awesome commemorative tee shirt.

Jurassic Classic Mud Run
Saturday’s sunny skies will host the second annual 5K Jurassic Classic Mud Run. You decide how to run, crawl, slide, or slosh your way through 3 miles of boot camp style obstacles and mud pits.
In short, this mud run adventure is filled with awesome challenges and forever-memorable experiences for those 12 years and older. Registration is available before 9:00 Am on site the day of the event.
