Menifee 24/7 Adoptable Pet of the Week: Splinter

Today’s playful pup was brought into Sun City K9 Adoptions with the name Splinter, however the SCK9 staff quickly recognized his cheery disposition and felt that Happy more adequately befit him.

Now Happy goes about his days at the rescue playing and loving his canine friends, and all around living up to his happy namesake.

Name: Happy/ Splinter

Breed: Boxer mix

Age: 1 year

Gender: Male, neutered

Temperament: At a little under one year old, Splinter still has all the spirit of a puppy. He is very energetic and would do well with an active family. He does well with other dogs and just loves to play.

He is very intelligent and has already picked up some cues, such as “sit”, while at the shelter. He is housebroken and has the ability to learn new commands quickly.

Splinter’s story: Splinter was originally a stray who was adopted by a very loving owner. However, soon after being adopted his owner was deployed out of the country and with no where else to leave Splinter, unfortunately he had to bring him back to Sun City K9.
