The Mt. San Jacinto College Menifee Valley Campus English Department is pleased to announce that award-winning Cowboy poet, Jeff Streeby is coming to campus.
On February 28th, Jeff Streeby will read from his work and engage in a discussion about the craft of writing. Streeby's visit to MSJC is an extraordinary opportunity for Menifee residents to listen to and interact with a renowned and award-winning local American writer.
Streeby, an associate faculty English instructor at the Menifee Valley Campus, grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, where he attended Morningside College. He holds an MFA in Poetry from Gerald Stern's program at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. He is a horseman, cowboy poet and performer whose recent work has appeared in or has been accepted for Alehouse; Flashquake; Rattle; Simply Haiku, Naugatuck River Review, and others.
