Today’s adoptable pet is more rock star than most. Let’s just say if the King himself were still around, he would approve of this awesome hound dog who's name happens to be Elvis.
Adoptable pet of the week, Elvis.
Name: Elvis
Breed: Hound mix
Age: 5 years
Gender: Male, neutered
Favorite song: “Hound Dog,” by Elvis Presley
Temperament: Elvis is a wonderful and trained canine companion. He is playful and energetic and would love a backyard to run around in, but will settle for long walks too. He came from a very loving home and is already housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and ready to learn additional commands.
He is good with dogs, people, and older children. Because of his large size and boundless energy, he might be overwhelming for small children.
Elvis’s story: Elvis was recently relinquished to Sun City K9 because his longtime owner developed Parkinson’s disease and could no longer care for him on her own.
Sun City K9 can be found hosting on-site pet adoptions every Saturday and Sunday at the Petco in Menifee Countryside Marketplace. Saturdays are from 9 am until 2:30 pm and Sundays are from 10 am until 2:30 pm.
If you would like to contribute to their cause but can’t adopt an animal there are many ways to donate and volunteer. Visit their website for more information or to make a direct donation through PayPal.
The Sun City K9 first annual Golf Tournament is fast approaching, but there is still time to save you spot to play. Be sure to make your reservations by February 14th for a guaranteed golf cart.
