Sun City K9 Adoptions is set to host their first annual fundraising golf tournament next month on February 26th. The event will take place at the Golden Era Golf Course in San Jacinto, with all entry fees and sponsorships benefitting the Sun City K9 rescue.
Peter Monsen, who is organizing the event, shares that all of the proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the shelter, “To help cover vet bills, grooming supplies, cleaner, bleach. Whatever it takes to run a rescue.”
As a non-profit, no kill establishment Sun City K9 relies primarily on donations and these fundraisers throughout the year to stay in operation.
The February 26th day of golf commences at 7:30 am with an energizing breakfast put on by the Masonic Lodge of Menifee. This fundraising breakfast will be $8 per person with the proceeds going toward the Christmas Charity Fund for 2012 as well as the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard.
Putting contests, including a closest to the pin prize, will begin at 8:00 am for $5 per entry. Prizes will also be awarded at the end of the day for first and second place and the longest drive.
The tournament is open to golfers of all ages and is available to the first 60 entrants. A check to reserve the participants place must be received by February 14th.
The entry fee for the tournament is $50 per person, which includes: eighteen holes of golf, refreshments throughout the day, cart rental, five raffle tickets, prizes, and lunch.
