Menifee's Planning Commission, this evening, chose a new chairman and vice-chairman to lead the five-member group through the 2012 calendar year.
Bill Zimmerman will be the new chairman with Matt Liesemeyer as the vice-chairman. Both Zimmerman and Liesemeyer have been on the Planning Commission for the past three years since Menifee became a city. Liesemeyer had previously been its chairman in commission's first year.
Zimmerman takes over the chairman position from Chris Thomas, who will remain on the commission. Liesemeyer will takes over the vice-chairman position from Bill Zimmerman.
The Planning Commission typically names a new chairman and vice-chairman each January.
Chad Warren, who had been named as the newest planning commissioner last Friday, took his oath of office this evening and was seated on the dais for tonight's planning commission meeting.
