Councilmember Sue Kristjansson announced this afternoon that Chad Warren will be appointed to the city's Planning Commission effective today, January 20, 2012, and will take his seat at the scheduled Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m.
Warren will replace Marc Miller.
Chad Warren has been a resident of Menifee since 2003 after moving here from the San Diego area. He is married with three children, ages 9, 6, and 5, and his wife is the owner and president of a promotional marketing firm. He's a graduate of Colorado State University where he received a degree in geology, and is currently employed as the Geology and Mining Manager for a construction materials producer in Riverside County.
Prior to this position, he worked for a geologic and geotechnical engineering firm for 9 years where he consulted on projects ranging from earthquake fault evaluations to residential developments to public works projects. Warren is a licensed Professional Geologist in California and Arizona, as well as a Certified Engineering Geologist in California.
He had originally applied for consideration as a city councilmember to replace the late Fred Twyman. He later served on the city's Redistricting Committee.
