Bringing the pageant life to the Inland Empire and giving Menifee some well deserved representation, the Inland California Scholarship Pageant crowned Miss Diamond Valley and her court back in October at. The new queens were carefully chosen through a series of events to represent the Diamond Valley area for the ensuing year. This annual pageant is conducted by Southwest California Pageants and is open to girls and unmarried women up to the age of 21 who reside in the Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

This year’s pageant was held at the Act One Community Theater in Temecula on Saturday, October 8th. The evening pageant began with an opening dance number performed by the outgoing 2011 Inland California Court and contestants. The current contestants participated in a sportswear and evening gown competition, followed by an on-stage question and answer session. These events, as well as the personal interviews conducted earlier in the day, determined who would be selected as queens for the ensuing year.

After tallying up the points, the lucky winners were finally chosen. Katie Pape of Lake Elsinore was crowned Miss Diamond Valley, while joining her on the Inland California Court for 2012 were: Teen Miss Isabel Donadio of Menifee, Jr. Teen Miss Molly O’Neal of Lake Elsinore, and Pre-Teen Miss Jayme Banda of Menifee.

Earlier in the day, the children’s pageant crowned an additional 6 queens, including: Junior Miss Emily Neels of Temecula, Little Miss Kenya Melgar of Menifee, Pixie Miss Natalie Spradlin of Menifee, Petite Miss Nelly Gomez of Menifee, and Toddler Miss Miley Meza of Lake Elsinore.
