The month of October tends to send people in search of the scariest sights and frights. Whether it’s the spirit of the season or the adrenaline rush people seek, pumpkin patches and haunted houses alike seem to elicit this specific sought after excitement.
Come all hallows weekend you need venture no further that Melvin Street in Menifee for a frightfully horror filled night. Kirwan Haunted Manor promises to shock and awe even the bravest of scare seekers.
The Kirwan family has been terrifying visitors three nights a year for twelve years now, some times attracting over 1,000 visitors in one single weekend. Thus making them the longest running family owned and operated haunted house in the Inland Empire.
Moving from their previous well-known residence in French Valley to their new one-acre property in Menifee, they have assured their fans they can expect the same spectacular display of gore as every year before.
Since moving to Menifee they have joined forces with the Temecula Valley Terror Tour, as well as with Day 31 of Murrieta, in an effort to frightfully delight Halloween thrill seekers of all ages.
In speaking with the mind behind the madness, Kellen Kirwan, she remarked that as a holiday, “Halloween has really exploded over the past few years, it’s really just about having fun.”
As a family, the Kirwan’s have always been involved with their community. Local high school students log community service hours by helping set-up, run, and maintain this now famous haunted house.
Each year they seek to donate all of the proceeds of their haunting venture to a local non-profit charity. In years past they have generously gifted the Red Cross, senior centers, 911 relief funds, and the San Diego Children’s Hospital.
A mere $1 admission donation is suggested, which will in turn be given to a local Menifee non-profit this year.
Friday October 28th, Saturday October 29th, and Monday October 31st, Halloween night, patrons are invited to catch their terrifying display of dread any time between 7 and 10 p.m.
To be dead serious, this is one scary situation you don’t want to miss. Check it out, we dare you!
