The Beer Hunter Adds More Craft Beer Choices to its Menu

Craft Brewing Company now on tap

Looking to boost its craft beer selection, The Beer Hunter has added several new craft beer brands and varieties to its menu.

Yesterday morning, hours before its doors opened up for lunch, servers and managers at The Beer Hunter listened to representatives from Stone Brewing Company and Craft Brewing Company explain several new beer varieties the restaurant will now be serving.

Two local breweries, Black Market Brewing of Temecula, and Craft Brewing of Lake Elsinore were recently added on tap. Four more brands, including Coronado Brewing, Avery Brewing, Bear Republic Brewing, and Ommegang Brewing are now available.

Menifee sits at the northern part of a large, booming craft beer industry concentrated in San Diego County. Excitement over specialty ales has seemingly crept upward into Southwest Riverside County as coastal residents continue to move inland.

"We are consumer conscious in offering a wide variety of products that will enhance everyone's visit", Dave Hunt, General Manager of The Beer Hunter explained in regards to expanding their craft beer offerings. "We feel its a niche that's missing in Menifee, that we can offer a unique product in a unique city that can improve the outlook of the company".

Bob Thompson, co-founder of Craft Brewing Company in Lake Elsinore sees the craft brewing industry only getting bigger in Southwest Riverside County.

"Aside from Black Market Brewing and Craft Brewing, there are four more breweries waiting for licenses here in this area", Thompson said. "It won't be as big as in San Diego County, but there's going to be quite a few breweries here in Southwest Riverside County in the next ten years".

With local breweries finding themselves on tap in restaurants in Temecula and Murrieta, The Beer Hunter seems to be doing the same for beer drinkers in Menifee, supporting the local breweries in the area.

"Our stores are set out to be uniquely individual for the area they are in", Dave Hunt added. "We want to boost the local economy, use local products, use local vendors, and new local breweries in the area are going to offer us that."

Friar Bob's Rasperry Wheat, Craft Brewing Company, a raspberry infused hefeweizen that retains the true flavor of a wheat beer with a touch of raspberry flavor.

Holly Belgian Pale Ale, Craft Brewing Company, a light Belgian-style ale with a bit more malt flavor than a Stella Artois.

Raven Stout, Craft Brewing Company, a full flavored, stout with flavors of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla, more rich than a Guinness Stout.

Rye IPA, Black Market Brewing, an India Pale Ale comparable to other popular IPAs such as Stone IPA, but with a more roasted malt flavor, and a bit more sweet.

Bavarian Style Hefeweizen, Black Market Brewing, a classic hefeweizen but made from Bavarian yeast to create a more robust flavored wheat beer.

Brown Ale, Black Market Brewing, one of the company's biggest sellers, comparable to a Newcastle Brown Ale, but with more malt and nut flavors.

Racer 5 IPA, Bear Republic Brewing, brewed in Northern California, it's the company's flagship beer, comparable to the Stone IPA.

White Rascal, Avery Brewing, very comparable to the Blue Moon Hefeweizen or the Shock Top, but with overtones of coriander and orange peel zest.

Coronado Golden, Coronado Brewing, made in Coronado, CA, it's a light, very refreshing ale, similar to a pilsner, perfect for those who want to migrate away from Budweiser and Coors.

Ommegang BPA, Ommegang Brewery, A Belgian Pale Ale, giving off aromas of tropical fruit and citrus, it offers a light, candied malt flavor.
