Cal-Trans announced today that it will shut down the entire northbound I-215 freeway at the 4th Street crossing in Perris, from 8:00pm to 4:00am starting this Monday, February 14, 15, 16, and 17.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured to the 4th Street off-ramp and return to northbound I- 215 via the 4th Street on-ramp.
The closure is part of the 74-215 Interchange improvement project.
The southbound I-215 will have one lane open from 9:00pm to 5:00am the same dates.
The project will pave the way for better traffic flow, easier access to downtown Perris and improved connections to both north and south Interstate 215. The project will replace the current two-lane 4th street bridge over the freeway with an eight-lane bridge, realign freeway ramps, widen streets, replace stop signs with traffic signals, add a sidewalk north of the bridge and build residential sound walls.

When are we going to get actual freeway and bridge improvements in MENIFEE? Every other city seems to be getting them except us.
