The following announcement is from Marcy Riehm, regarding the Menifee Independence Day Parade...

The Menifee Independence Day Parade for 2010 takes place on Saturday, June 26th. It runs from Mt San Jacinto College and ends at Wheatfield Park.

The Lake Menifee Womens Club, who organizes the parade, is calling for groups, clubs, businesses, and anyone else to participate in the parade.

They'd love to get classic cars, dance groups, Boy/Girl Scout Troops, sports teams, golf carts, horses, and whatever else the community can throw at them.

Parade participants are not required to complete an application, however they need to confirm with the parade chairperson Marcy Riehm by either email or by phone prior to the event for placement in the line up.

  1. Avalon Property Management wishes the Womens Club great success in their Fourth of July festivities. They always do such a wonderful job and donate so many hours for this event. We will miss being part of Menifee Lakes.

  2. just curious as to why the "Independance Day Parade" isn't actually on Independance Day?? Give the citizens on Menifee something to do on July 4th so that we don't have to go to other cities.......

  3. This is sad when Menifee has to celebrate the Nation's 4th of July a week before and not have it on the 4th, I come from Coronado, where we have one of the largest 4th of July parades in California and fun activities through out the day, then end it with a grand fireworks display. I cannot celebrate the 4th in this fashion. Just my opinion. John

  4. I believe the reason why it isn't held on July 4 is because the fireworks companies all charge higher rates to perform on July 4.

Keep in mind this fireworks show is not put on by the City of Menifee. It's put on by the Lake Menifee Womens Club and paid for by them. Perhaps the city should spend taxpayer dollars to do it on July 4??

  5. I love that it's the weekend prior to the 4th. We, like many others, head out of town (coast) to be with other friends and family on the actual 4th. This way we get to celebrate twice!
