On Saturday, May 16, 2009 Good Shepherd Lutheran School (GSLS) will host its 2nd Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration from 2:30pm-7:00pm. The school will host a carnival, car show, over 25 local vendors, food, entertainment a
nd most importantly, fundraising efforts for WIA Specialist Ryan Price and care packages for the 1st Battalion 7th Marines. Ryan was wounded on May 7, 2008 while serving in Afghanistan. He lost both legs as well as sustaining many other injuries.
GSLS is supporting fundraising efforts for Ryan Price by hosting an Art Contest for children in the Menifee Valley and a Bake Sale on Armed Forces Day. Children ages 2-12 are eligible to participate in the Art Contest. Children may draw, take a picture or make a diorama celebrating this year's theme, " American Heroes". With each submission, GSLS is asking a donation of $5 in support of Ryan Price.
