  1. I don't know if this is the last of the votes or if there are still some that are outstanding, but at least Dean Deines is edging ever closer to overtaking Denver.

  2. There are about 600 provisional and duplicate ballots (which means lines drawn twice for your selection which then have to be counted manually) still to be posted, probably tomorrow. The gap was narrowed this last post, still up for grabs. Dean Deines is only 11 votes from John Denver, we can hope for the best...

  3. Now that the election campaigning is over, who is responsible for removing the campaign signs within a resonable time ?

  4. Is this a real election?
    When will Menifee be incorporated?
    What areas will it include?

    Thanks

  5. Each canidate is responsible for taking down their own signs. They have 10 days after the election to have it completed.

On your mark, get set, GO !!!

That means by Friday all the signs will be gone???
I would hope that the candidates that won would at least pick up their trash in our new city.

  7. Now each one has a chance to shout their worth - clean up those signs they were so anxious to put out before the election. Without doing so, the winners show their lack of respect; the losers show the money they wasted trying to buy themselves in with publicity. Some names are so plastered all over the place they just aggravate the senses. How about the ones still at the entrance to Winco, still in the outlying areas, etc??

  8. I have taken down all my signs now, if I have accidently overlooked one please email the location at votedeines@live.com. Thank you for your support.

  10. Now that the election is over, please keep our newly formed city beautiful and pickup all your campain signs! There are so many of them that it makes Menifee look trashy!

  11. JERRY STAMPER PICK UP YOUR SIGNS!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Don't you Sad Sacks have something more important to worry about than our candidates taking down their signs? My God... focus your energy on something more productive. Why don't you contact the candidates at their e-mail addresses listed on www.menifeelive.com and volunteer for your new city... The City of Menifee, California!

    Otherwise...shut up!

  14. DARCY KUENZI there are signs on McCall (east of the 215) that need to be picked up. Bring a ladder as they are pretty high up.

  15. Pray the board stays as it is! Kuenzi has no one to align herself with.We still might have a chance for "whats best for the community" and NOT "whats best for developers". Just pray.....

  16. I've worked on other campaigns and as small as this may be , it becomes an issue. Especially when it becomes a financial burden. Responsible candidates would understand this. It also shows that the candidates are responsible ( even the small things) There are going to be a lot of important issues in the near future. This may be a place to start.

  17. Fred,
You have a sign on a pole on Murrieta Rd just south of Lazy Creek. It is pretty high so I couldn't reach it.

  19. First I would like to congratulate Wally Edgerton for being elected to the City Council. Second I would like to congratulate the people of Menifee for what I think, and hope, was a smart choice. I grew up In Long Beach, Ca. where Wally was a councilman. I spent 35 years on the Long Beach Police Department and always found him to be, what we on the Department called, one of the good guys. Unlike some of our council people, I believe he was for the city and not himself. There was a time when the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department and several of our council people wanted the Sheriffs to take over policing the city. This was also during a time when money was short and the Department was being run by Inept upper management. Wally stood by our Department and we prevailed. I retired In 1998 and moved to Menifee In 2001 with my wife and daughter. We love It here and hope to see the city grow. We've seen a lot of changes In the seven and a half years we've been here. Both our parents moved to Sun City back In 1997 and when we would come out to visit them we found that we really liked the area. I'm sure Wally will do a good job as I hope the others will. Let's all remember, It's not going to happen overnight
