Even though technically, the ballot count won't be certified by the Registrar of Voters for a while, it's a safe bet that no one will challenge the count in Measure F, the cityhood initiative.
So the question that's probably on the minds of residents here, "Should I change my address to Menifee?"
The answer is "No".
I just got off the phone with the Sun City post office, and asked them that question. If you live in Quail Valley, Sun City, or Romoland, the USPS recommends you continue using those names. Even though the zip code is largely what drives the mail distribution, changing the address to "Menifee" at this time can create problems for them.
They said they'll wait to hear from the local post master before making any changes.
You can call the Sun City post office for more questions: (951) 301-3657.

DISAPPOINT!!! Measure F is Yes! that is not good idea. Menifee should be independent alone this new city. Menifee should not involve with Sun City, Romoland and Quail Valley that Menifee will have more problems later to spend lots of money to develop in Sun City, Romoland and Quail Valley. Those are never improvement in development for many years. Sun City, Romoland and Quail Valley are very poor area. It's sound like Sun City, Romoland and Quail Valley take advantage of Menifee that is not fair!!!
ReplyDeletenow I've heard it all..who is this that thinks Menifee is so superior and far above the other places?? Give me a break! There's enough money in these areas to buy and sell Menifee if they wanted to! You remind me of someone who has never had a lot of anything; finally gets a decent house; and suddenly is looking down on everyone else - SHAME ON YOU!! And yes, I live in Menifee; but know for certain Menifee is not a countryclub set rolling in dough. Where are your manners?? ERrrr...you get on my nerves with your phony values!!unfair that you're being taken advantage of??? Oh please... QUITCH UR WHINING!!!
ReplyDeleteNot only that, they don't know how to write. Nonsense!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest... Measure F is a bust. I live in Romoland and we are a very rural community... I mean extremely rural compared to most industrialized areas of Menifee and Sun City. Do you think anyone is going to represent us? No. Why? The people in charge are the developers and all they know is big busy and money. They are going to buy out all of the farm land and empty hillsides and fill them with empty homes. These homes will remain empty and won't be filled for quite a while because of our current economy. Most of whom who voted were from the city and most of us out in this area didn't know of this election... I think we have misrepresentation.
ReplyDeleteTo the above commenter, you can't claim innocence out of ignorance.
ReplyDeleteSun City a very poor area!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteHave you driven around Sun City!?!?
I suggest that you take a drive around and see for yourself, there's plenty of newer developed area adding to it's charm.
I moved to a brand new house 5 years ago, excellent well kept subdivision and there's plenty of that in Sun City.
Sun City's also pretty clean and well maintained.
As for Quail Valley and other areas have a more rural tone but together these areas stay stronger and DO NOT TAKE anything away from your "exclusive Menifee". Please!!!

Soooooo...getting back to the original post. Do we know when we will change our address to Menifee? Any ideas how long it might be?
