I checked the USGS Earthquake website and sure enough, a maginitude 4.7 earthquake struck today at 10:29am, centered 9.1 miles WNW of Lake Elsinore...

I felt the quake. It gave a pretty good jolt, but it didn't last very long.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't home, but my husband said he felt it quite strongly, he thought there had been an explosion of some sort..no damage that we can see.
ReplyDeleteYea I felt the shake as well over in murrieta. I work grave yard, so i woke up to a little shake, then went back to sleep. Weak. :)
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love native Californians. Anyhing under a 5 or 6 and it's no big. I was cooking breakfast for my kids and I stopped and thought someone was blasting, then thought "hey it's Sunday" then went on my business. No big deal it's under a 5!

ReplyDeleteIt was a 4.6 near Beaumont. We felt it too this morning! Huge jolt.
