How many of you noticed that Giovanni's Restaurant in Menifee is now using microwaveable containers for their take-out orders?
Now and then, I like to order an anti-pasta salad from them. The salad used to come in a round aluminum container. Now, it comes in this rectangular microwaveable container, with a lid too.
Apparently, they're scoring a lot of kissy points with their customers. They've received great feedback on these containers. I imagine they might even get more orders just because people want the containers.
They don't just use them for salads, but for other dishes as well.
On a side note, Giovanni's is also advertising "All You Can Eat Spaghetti" every Monday night, for just $5.50.

ReplyDeleteWow - this Menifee must be a happening place when the highlight of the day are microwavable salad containers! Or someone works for Giovanni's or just likes there salads!
ReplyDeleteSeveral of us went to Giovanni's after the local Chamber meeting last week, and the food was awesome! The menu has expanded to include steak and fish, which was a nice surpise. (We even got to Karaoke - YOU GO Soggy Bottom Boys!) Great food + fun atmosphere + good friends = super great time! The new owner of Giovanni's has really "stepped it up"!
ReplyDeleteThese containers are really great! Before, I had the problem of my food getting cold on the drive home but now I can jut pop it in the microwave and enjoy my meal! I love the Chicken Marsala. Giovanni's has been a favorite of mine for about 4-5 years. They are under new ownership as of Feb 2007: Tom and Caroline Powers (John and Nile Gagnon still own the Murrieta location) and they have made quite a few other adjustments such as Steak, Fish and Baby back ribs on the menu. And Live entertainment, you'd have to stop in or go to their website for more details!
ReplyDeleteGiovannis has live entertainmen on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is a family owned and operated restaurant thats not just Italian food. They have pizza, pasta, salmon, ahi tuna, bbq pork rib (mmmmmmm yummy and tender) steak and a very tender 12 oz pork chop. great place to take family and friends.
